For this post I will run through the necessary steps to install Windows Server 2016.
Boot to the Windows 2016 DVD/USB/.iso media and select your language options. Then click Next and click Install Now.
Choose the version of Windows 2016 Server that you want installed. Most people will be using the Windows Server 2016 Standard (Desktop Experience) as it gives you a gui. Check the ‘I accept the licence’ box and click Next.
Choose the Custom option
Then select the disk that you want to install Windows Server 2016 on to and click Next
The installation will now begin
Once setup completes choose an administrator password and login to Windows
You can now use Server Manager to configure the server according to your requirements
