If using Linux within your Microsoft operating system has been something that you have always dreamed of then you may be pleased with this feature. Microsoft has made a number of Linux distros available within the Windows store that enable you to use a bash terminal window.
The Windows 10 Fall Creators Update is nearly upon us as summer rapidly draws to close. Like 1511, 1607 and 1703 before it the current build of 16241 or ‘Redstone 3’ has been available as a preview to insiders (in this case since April 14, 2017).
Problem: Sometimes when there is a heavy network load or the fileservers are particularly busy I have noticed that DFS replication items begin to queue and the delay between synchronisation increases. I wanted to see what was in the DFS replication backlog and see it clear to make sure replication was working.
Problem: The Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 (which is required for many applications) won’t install via ‘Programs and Features’, ‘Turn Windows Features on or Off’. You may get errors 0x800F0906, 0x800F081F, or 0x800F0907.
