Cannot disable Windows Scheduled Tasks

Problem:

If you have a need to disable certain built-in Windows scheduled tasks you may notice that since a recent update you get an error stating ‘The user account you are operating under does not have permission to disable this task’.

Solution:

To solve the error you first need to download pstools.  Then run the below command from the directory you extracted pstools to.

C:\System\PSTools\PsExec -i -s c:\windows\system32\mmc.exe /s taskschd.msc

You can then disable the task.
