This post is on how to setup AWS SES and verify your domain so that you send emails from your own domain using SES.
Login to the account where you want to verify the domain
Open the SES console and click Domains> Verify a New Domain
Enter the domain you want to verify and click the checkbox to Generate DKIM Settings. Then click Verify this domain.
Make a note of the DNS records and click close
The domain status should be pending verification
Login to AWS and open the Route 53 console.
If you already have an existing record for the domain you want to verify click the record and add the domain verification text on a separate line in “ “
Click save record set.
Next create the three DKIM CNAME records as instructed
Open the SES console click Domains and you should see the status as verified (takes about 2-3 hours).
