Updating vCenter 6.7 using the VAMI interface

This is a quick post to walk through an update of the vCenter VCSA appliance using the VAMI.  The vCenter Server Appliance Management Interface (VAMI) is the administration Web interface for the vCenter Server Appliance (VCSA), and is used to perform basic administrative tasks such as updates

First ensure you have  a recent backup of your VCSA using something like Veeam.  Then shutdown the appliance and take a snapshot, then start it up again.

Login to the VAMI interface, this is the IP of your vCenter appliance on port 5480.  For example https://10.20.30.20:5480

Once logged in click Update> Check Updates> Find the update you want to install> Click install.  If you want to download these in advance of the actual installation you can click Stage.
